Lightning cuts power to 4,900 homes in Penryn

Thousands of homes in Cornwall suffered power cuts after a storm caused lightning strikes and flooding.
Lightning struck Falmouth and Penryn at about 07:00 BST affecting about 4,900 properties, Western Power Distribution said.
The company said some electricity transformers in Redruth had been hit.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it had also received a "large number of calls" about flooding in Mullion and St Mawes.
An electricity transformer converts the high voltage electricity carried in power lines into the lower voltage electricity used in homes and businesses.
