Bodmin barn damaged by roof fire

Dozens of firefighters were called to a blaze in a converted two-storey barn in Cornwall.

The fire broke out in the roof of the barn, which had been converted into a home, at Trevissick, Bodmin, at about 14:50 GMT on Saturday.

Two initial fire appliances from Bodmin were joined by four further engines, plus two water carriers and an aerial ladder.

An elderly woman was treated by ambulance staff, the fire service said.

At the height of the blaze, there were 38 firefighters at the scene.

The cause is being investigated.
