Teachers at a Cornwall primary school have called off their strike after talks at the conciliation service Acas.

Six members of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) at Heamoor Primary School walked out last Thursday over their workload, pay and conditions.

The school and NUT said in a joint statement there had been "sufficient progress" at Acas.

"Further talks will take place over the coming weeks to attempt to resolve outstanding issues," they said.

"In the meantime the school will continue to operate as normal and parents should send their children to school tomorrow (Wednesday)."
