Wind turbine falls down on private land in Cornwall
A wind turbine has fallen down in north Cornwall, it's manufacturer has confirmed.
The turbine, which was about 17m (55ft) high, was on private rural land in North Petherwin, near Launceston.
Martin Paterson, from Gaia-Wind, said he was alerted to the incident on Wednesday night and the company was investigating the cause.
Mr Paterson said that the wind turbine tower was damaged but no-one had been injured.
He added that their turbines have a good track record for safety.
