Lewis Foster killed mother when reversing car

A man has admitting causing the death of his mother by reversing a car in to her when drunk.

Deborah Jones, 47, died last July when she was crushed against a fence post in a service lane behind Dobell Road, St Austell.

Lewis Foster, 19, from St Austell, admitted causing her death by driving carelessly under the influence of alcohol and driving without insurance.

The hearing at Truro Crown Court was adjourned for sentencing on Monday.

Judge David Ticehurst said: "I know what a tragic case this is as I have statements, a psychiatric report and references, but I need to know more about your background."
