Man killed in A30 lorry collision in Cornwall

A man has died after being hit by a lorry on the A30 in north Cornwall.

It is believed the 34-year-old was standing in a lay-by in front of his Renault Laguna car when he walked into the nearside lane of the carriageway, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The man, who lived locally, died at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident, which happened close to the A388 junction at about 19:15 GMT on Saturday.
