Ambulances to be based at Callington fire station
Ambulances are to be based in a fire station in a Cornish town as part of a new partnership.
Cornwall Fire Service and the South West Ambulance Service Trust said operating ambulances from Callington fire station would mean better cover.
The nearest ambulance stations had been at Liskeard and Saltash, both about nine miles (15km) away.
The services said the move would also allow shared training and mean a more effective use of community facilities.
