New Cornish school buses drafted in after contract problem

Extra school buses are being drafted in for south east Cornwall because a company is unable to fulfil its contracts, Cornwall Council says.

The Darley Ford Company was not able to serve children at Liskeard School and Community College and Callington Community College, the authority said.

Replacement operators would follow existing timetables and pick-up locations, it added.

No-one from Liskeard-based Darley Ford has been available for comment.

The council said it was reassuring families that all routes would be covered on Monday morning by Smith's Coaches, Group Travel or C J Down Coaches.
