Homes emptied after canal breach
Twenty families have been evacuated from their properties in Devon over fears the second side of a canal could collapse.
The Halberton families spent the night in a local village hall after one side of the Great Western Canal, near Tiverton, breached its banks following heavy rain on Wednesday.
Engineers worked overnight in an attempt to stabilise the canal.
