Newquay pensioner charged with weapons offences
A man has been charged with weapons offences after a revolver was discovered at his house in Cornwall by police investigating a petrol theft.
The man, 74, was arrested in Newquay on Friday after Devon and Cornwall Police found a Rossi revolver.
He was charged with illegal possession of a handgun, possession without a certificate and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He is also accused of petrol theft over an incident in Truro in December 2010.
The man is due to appear before Truro Magistrates' Court later.
