The burst pipe caused flooding in the basement and main hospital building
A water pipe carrying boiling water has burst at a hospital in Cornwall, say emergency services.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service was called to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro at 04:44 BST.
Eighteen firefighters attended the scene. The burst caused parts of the basement to flood.
Fire crews said they had left the site at about 06:30, having pumped the water back into the main sewer. No injuries have been reported.
