Yellow line plans in Mylor 'to be re-examined'

Plans to paint double yellow lines in a road in Mylor, Cornwall, are to be re-examined.

The lines were approved by Cornwall Council for both sides Penarrow Road, which leads to a harbour slipway.

The council said the lines were needed for emergency vehicle access. Watersports clubs said they needed to use the road to park as a nearby car park was too expensive and often full.

Highways firm Cormac was to investigate alternatives, the council said.

About 200 people recently signed a petition against the lines, which were due to be painted on Monday.
