Helston murder: Man arrested over Colin Payne death

A 54-year-old man has been arrested in the Nottingham area on suspicion of murdering a 72-year-old man in west Cornwall.

The body of Colin Payne was discovered in a flat at Sanctuary Lane in Helston at about 19:30 BST on Sunday.

Officers say they remain keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Mr Payne since 31 May.

Devon and Cornwall Police said Mr Payne's family had been informed and an incident room had been set up.

Officers from Devon & Cornwall Police will escort the arrested man back to the region where he will be formally interviewed.
