St Just driver Gary Scrase killed in A3071 crash

A man who was killed in a two-car collision in west Cornwall has been named by police.

Gary Derek Scrase, 48, from St Just, was driving a Land Rover Discovery when it collided with a Nissan X-Trail on the A3071 on Wednesday.

Mr Scrase was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was airlifted to hospital with a broken arm.

A female passenger in the Nissan was treated by paramedics at the scene but did not need to go to hospital.

The road was closed overnight after the crash, which happened at about 19:15 BST.
