Bodmin baby murder charge man appears in court

A man charged with the murder of his baby son has appeared at Exeter Crown Court.

Shane Hawkins, 24, of Bodmin, is accused of murdering Kaydon, who was 10 months old when he was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in December 2010 with serious injuries.

He later died at the Bristol Children's Hospital.

Mr Hawkins did not enter a plea. He was granted conditional bail to an address in Warwickshire at an earlier hearing.

A plea and case management hearing is expected to take place at the crown court on 9 August.
