The death of a 91-year-old man found with multiple fractures in his home in Cornwall is being treated as murder, police say.

Officers were called to the house of Tom Lang in Trecarn Close, Launceston, last Tuesday. He died on Friday.

A 19-year-old man had been charged with theft and causing grievous bodily harm and was in custody, police said.

Mr Lang's family paid tribute to their "loving father, uncle and grandfather".

Saying Mr Land would be "dearly missed", the family added: "His death was a shock to everyone who knew him."

Officers from Cornwall's Major Crime Investigation Team were carrying out the investigation, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
