Launceston man, 91, dies days after assault

A 91-year-old man who was assaulted in his Cornish property has died in hospital days after he was attacked.
Police were called to the house at about 02:00 BST in Trecarn Close, Launceston, on Tuesday.
The pensioner was found with multiple fractures and taken to Derriford Hospital. He died on Friday.
A 19-year-old man was charged with theft and grievous bodily harm and appeared at Bodmin Magistrates court on Thursday. He was remanded in custody.
Devon and Cornwall Police said it had started an investigation into the "unexplained death" and was awaiting the result of a post-mortem examination before formal identification takes place.
