Fall in unemployment in Cornwall

The number of people out of work and claiming benefit in Cornwall has fallen by more than 400, according to the latest figures.

In March, the unemployment figures fell to 10,705, a drop of 411 from 11,116 the month before, the Office for National Statistics said.

The claimant total equates to 3.2% of the county's workforce.

The drop comes as nationwide unemployment is shown to be down for the first time in almost a year.
