A call centre in Cornwall has closed with the loss of about 40 jobs.

The government-funded goods and services advice organisation, Consumer Direct, confirmed that it had closed its centre in Camborne.

Meanwhile, two other companies confirmed they were in consultation with their workforces over possible job losses in the county.

Electronics repair company Infoteam and Yodel courier services both said staff were facing redundancies.

Infoteam said it was looking at up to 29 redundancies at its St Columb site.
