Police say they are increasingly concerned about a 26-year-old surfer last seen in the Cornish resort of Newquay two days ago.

Oliver Doy, from Hook in Hampshire, was last seen walking with an unknown man and two women near the town's cinema early on Saturday.

Coastguard rescue teams and a lifeboat were called to search for Mr Doy whose driving licence was found on a beach.

Friends and family have made appeals on social networking sites.
