ShelterBox sending team to flood-hit Benin in Africa
A Cornish disaster aid charity is sending a response team to a west African country hit by flooding.
Two-thirds of Benin has suffered from months of rain, resulting in the worst flooding to hit the country since 1963.
ShelterBox said it was sending the two-person team to establish the areas of greatest need in the country, which is one of the poorest in the world.
The charity's aid boxes include a 10-person tent and survival equipment.
As well as the tent, each box includes sleeping bags, pots and stove, water purifying tablets and a basic tool kit.
