Cornwall cliff death girl named as Eleanor Clarke

An 11-year-old holidaymaker who fell from a cliff in Cornwall has been named as Eleanor Clarke.

Eleanor, from Andover, Hampshire, is thought to have fallen about 30ft (9m) down a mine entrance at Droskyn Point, near Perranporth on Wednesday.

An inquest at the coroner's office in Truro, has been opened and adjourned to a future date.

Eleanor was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske in a critical condition but died later.
