Kebab shop owner jailed for Camborne student rape

A man who raped a 19-year-old student he met at a club in Cornwall has been jailed for six years.

Truro Crown Court was told Fatih Kandemir from Perranporth met the girl at the Corn Exchange nightclub in Camborne last November and attacked her while giving her a lift home.

The 26-year-old kebab shop owner had denied rape, saying sex was consensual.

Mr Justice Royce told Kandemir he had taken advantage of a girl who was "hopelessly drunk".
