Plans for a wind farm on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall with 413ft (126m) high turbines have been rejected by councillors.

Community Windpower had submitted plans for 20 turbines to be erected beside Davidstow wood, close to an airfield.

Twelve members of Cornwall Council's planning committee were against the proposals, three voted for them, and there was one abstention.

It is not yet known if the company will appeal against the decision.

Councillors had been recommended to reject the plans.

In its proposals, Community Windpower said the wind farm would have generated electricity for about 28,000 homes.
