High water levels on the River Nene have prompted the closure of a second road in Cambridgeshire.

The B1040 between Whittlesey and Thorney has been shut after the Environment Agency issued a flood warning around the Whittlesey Wash.

The agency said diversions had been put in place and river levels around the area were being closely monitored.

The North Bank Road in Peterborough has been closed since Thursday due to flooding.
