Linton Zoo lions 'recycle' Christmas tree treats

4 January 2014 Last updated at 19:45 GMT

Big cats in Cambridgeshire have gone wild for Christmas tree recycling after a zoo appealed for people to donate their discarded festive flora.

The trees are being reused by Linton Zoological Gardens as toys for the lions, tigers and snow leopard.

Manager Dawny Greenwood said the scented trees are "almost like catnip" for African lions Zuri (male) and Safina.
