Ely man arrested after woman dies in A10 three-car crash

A man has been arrested following the death of a woman in a three-car crash in Cambridgeshire.

Tania Macedo, 25, of Welland Place, Ely, died in the accident on the A10 between Little Thetford and Stretham at about 19:45 BST on Wednesday.

She was a passenger in a blue Honda Civic. The driver and a child passenger were seriously injured.

A man, 43, from the Ely area, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit either through drink or drugs.

The other vehicles involved were a blue Renault Megane and a silver Volvo.

The driver of the Volvo was uninjured. Two passengers in the vehicle, a woman and a seven-year-old boy from the Ely area, suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Renault, a 43-year-old man, was uninjured, Cambridgeshire Police said.
