Wisbech hotel death suspect pleads not guilty

A 49-year-old Lincolnshire man has pleaded not guilty to the rape and murder of a woman whose body was found at a Cambridgeshire hotel.

The body of Virginja Jurkiene, 49, of Oakroyd Crescent, Wisbech was found at the Hare and Hounds Hotel in Wisbech at about 11:45 GMT on 19 January.

Dainotas Doblys, of Trinity Street, Boston, denied murder and two counts of rape at Cambridge Crown Court.

He has been remanded into custody until his trial begins on 10 June.

The trial will be held at Cambridge Crown Court.
