A 36-year-old man has been charged with perverting the course of justice over the murder of a man in Cambridgeshire.

The body of Kevin Lee, 48, from Fletton, Peterborough, was found in a ditch in Newborough on Saturday.

He had last been seen at 14:00 GMT on Friday and was reported missing at 22:40 that day.

Leslie Layton, 36, of Bifield, in Peterborough, will appear before the city's magistrates' court later. Four other people have also been arrested.

A 47-year-old man and woman, 30, arrested on Tuesday in connection with the death remain in custody.

Two men, aged 32 and 23, have been released on bail.

In a statement issued through police, Mr Lee's family said: "He was a wonderful husband, father, loving brother and son.

"His naturally infectious personality touched everyone who knew him."
