Arrests after fatal car accident in Peterborough

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal crash in Peterborough.

The two car crash took place on the junction between Broadway and Princes Gate at about 23:00 GMT on Good Friday.

The driver of a Suzuki Swift, 37-year-old Omar Mirza of Ferndale Way, Dogsthorpe, died at the scene.

Two men, aged 19 and 20, from Peterborough, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

The two men were also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
