Peterborough murder: Sat nav 'tracked killer's route'

A man who murdered his ex-wife in Peterborough and buried her body in Poland gave his route away by having a satellite navigation system.

Rimas Venclovas, 47, kidnapped and strangled Vitalija Baliutaviciene, 29, in August last year.

Lithuanian Ms Baliutaviciene had been attacked by him before and had fled with her son to Peterborough for a new life.

Her body was later found buried in a field in Poland.

Det Insp Martin Brunning said Cambridgeshire Police were able to link Venclovas to the remote burial site after discovering the route he had taken after the killing.

Emma Baugh reports.
