Peterborough travellers' site shootings: Man sought

Detectives investigating a shooting in Peterborough have named a man they want to speak to.

Three men were injured at the Oxney Road travellers' site shortly after 10:00 BST on 17 September.

Officers said Fred Smith Jnr, 23, has links to Peterborough, Wisbech and Northamptonshire and is wanted for questioning about the incident.

Members of the public are urged not to approach him but to report any sightings to police.

Det Insp Dave Grierson, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who has information about Fred's whereabouts or believes they may have seen him since 17 September.

"I would also make a direct plea to Fred. Please hand yourself in to officers as it is important we speak to you."
