Detectives investigating a double stabbing in Peterborough have charged a man with murder and attempted murder.

Andrejus Rulyevas, 21, was arrested by Cambridgeshire Police in Ely on Friday.

Two men were attacked in Gilpin Street on Wednesday morning. Saulius Grigoravicius, 20, died at the scene. The second victim, who has not been named, remains in hospital.

Mr Rulyevas will appear before magistrates in Peterborough on Monday.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Grigoravicius had been stabbed in the heart, police said.

The second victim, who was seriously injured in the attack, is believed to be in his 20s and Lithuanian.
