IED blast soldier wins Queen's Commendation for Bravery
A soldier who helped save five people injured in a blast in Afghanistan has been awarded the Queen's Commendation for Bravery.
Sapper Ryan Pavey, who serves with 33 Engineer Regiment at Wimbish in Cambridgeshire, went to the aid of women and children who survived the blast when a minibus was blown up by an IED. Another 18 people died.
