Housemate's killer found hanged in Whitemoor Prison

A 49-year-old man jailed over the killing of a housemate in north London has been found hanged in his cell in Whitemoor prison in Cambridgeshire.

John Green was jailed for life last year, and told he must serve at least 14 years before being considered for parole.

He was jaield for the murder of Paul Duffy on 5 January in Stoke Newington.

Green stabbed Mr Duffy after a fight between Mr Duffy and his lover Nadia Boukhari in north London.

The trio, who had lived together in Craven Park Road, Stoke Newington, were alcoholics and were drinking on the day of Mr Duffy's death.

Mr Duffy, 40, attacked Ms Boukhari, who was two months pregnant with his child, because she refused to give him a cigarette.
