Two arrested in Wisbech bank machine ram-raid probe
Two men have been arrested in connection with a JCB ram-raid at a bank in Cambridgeshire.
A 50-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary and suspicion of producing cannabis.
Officers investigating the raid at HSBC, in Cornhill, Wisbech, in the early hours of 2 August are linking it to a similar incident in Lincolnshire.
The two men from the Wisbech area have been taken into custody at King's Lynn.
Cambridgeshire Police said five men in balaclavas used a JCB to break into the bank in Wisbech, but fled empty handed.
They are continuing to work with police in Lincolnshire investigating an incident where a digger was used by four men to steal a cash machine in the Market Place in Long Sutton, on the same day.
