Two men have been charged with arson after a fire destroyed a wedding venue in Cambridgeshire.

An 18th Century barn and adjoining rooms were razed to the ground at Chilford Hall, Linton, on Wednesday.

Mark Hall, 27, and Thomas Richardson, 26, both from Pipers Close, Haverhill, Suffolk, are both charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life.

They are due to attend a hearing at Cambridge Magistrates' Court later.

At its peak, 60 firefighters from three counties were called to tackle the blaze, which started at about 03:15 BST.

No-one was injured.
