Chittering murder: Two suspects in custody with four bailed
Detectives investigating the death of a 76-year-old man in Cambridgeshire have been given a further 36 hours to question two men on suspicion of murder.
The men, aged 20 and 24, are being held in custody on suspicion of murdering Llywelyn Thomas in Chittering on 17 December.
Four other people arrested over the death were released on bail until July.
Mr Thomas was found dead on 18 December.
Police said magistrates granted detectives more time to question the two men at 16:00 BST.
Two other men, aged 22 and 26, a 26-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were released on bail.
Detectives believe Mr Thomas was killed during a botched burglary.
The retired farmer had moved to the area from south Wales 12 years earlier to be nearer his family.
Rewards totalling £50,000 have been offered for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.
