A new detector for the Large Hadron Collider is being built in Cambridge.

The new equipment will upgrade the facility at CERN in Geneva, to allow scientists to gather and analyse data much faster.

The team at Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge are working on the next generation of equipment in the quest to solve one of the biggest questions of all - how the universe began.
