Police want to find out the identity of this man captured on CCTV footage

Police investigating the sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to trace.

The woman managed to flag down police officers shortly after the attack at about 01:15 BST on Sunday.

She was attacked outside Irving House, off Park Row in Bristol, police said, close to where the man was pictured.

The victim later was taken to the Bridge Sexual Assault Referral Centre for treatment.

Forensic investigations have been carried out at the scene of the attack.

Investigating officer Det Con Rachel Alford, said: "I'm hoping members of the public will look at the CCTV image and call us if they know who the man is.

"We'd also like to speak to anyone who was in the Park Row area between midnight and 1.30am on Sunday, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or out of the ordinary."
