Bristol car bomb hoax suspect charged

Cassell Road, Bristol A 200m exclusion zone was set up around Cassell Road for several hours

A 42-year-old man has been charged with a bomb hoax after a car was doused in fuel in Bristol.

Stewart Jackson, from Emersons Green, has also been charged with criminal damage to property.

Last Saturday, police were called to reports of a suspicious car in Cassell Road. No explosives were found but the car had been doused in fuel.

Mr Jackson was denied bail and appeared before Bristol Magistrates' Court earlier.
