Tony Benn graffiti mural planned at Bristol Labour office
A life-size mural of the late Labour MP Tony Benn is to be painted by a graffiti artist on the wall of a Labour constituency office in Bristol.
Mr Benn, the former MP for Bristol South East, died at his home in west London in March at the age of 88.
Street artist Stewy will paint the mural at MP Kerry McCarthy's office and has the blessing of the Benn family.
A tribute evening in memory of Mr Benn, organised by the Trades Union Congress, will be held in the city later.
A May Day march and rally is also being held in London in honour of the veteran left-wing campaigner.
Mr Benn served Bristol South East for 32 years, winning a 1951 by-election.
When boundaries were re-drawn for the 1983 General Election he was defeated by Conservative Jonathan Sayeed.
