Operation Brooke: Bristol man charged with rape of girl, 16

A man has been charged by police who are investigating child sexual exploitation in Bristol.

Sakariah Sheikh, 21, appeared before magistrates on Wednesday charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl, sexual assault and exposure.

He will appear at Bristol Crown Court on 17 April.

Avon and Somerset Police is examining claims of sexual exploitation involving girls aged between 13 and 17 in the city, as part of Operation Brooke.
