Weston-super-Mare flat fire: Three rescued from balcony

Three people who became trapped on a balcony on the top floor of a three-storey building when fire broke out have been rescued by fire crews.

The group - two women and a man in their 20s - were brought down a ladder to safety then taken to hospital.

A third woman, in her 60s, was also rescued from her first floor flat and was unhurt, Avon Fire and Rescue said.

An investigation into the fire on Bristol Lower Road, Weston-super-Mare is under way.
