Two teenagers have denied the murder of a 35-year-old man from Weston-super-Mare.

Ryan Sheppard, 18, and a 15-year-old girl who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to murdering Mark Roberts last October.

At Bristol Crown Court judge Neil Ford remanded Mr Sheppard, of Sunnyside Road, Weston-super-Mare, in custody and released the girl on conditional bail.

Both were told they faced trial before a High Court judge in Bristol.

Mr Roberts died on 13 October, the day after he was found with head injuries in Baildon Road on the Bournville estate, Weston-super-Mare.
