Terminally-ill Bristol City fan ends hostility with Rovers man

11 March 2014 Last updated at 10:36 GMT

A terminally-ill Bristol City fan has struck up a friendship with a former fierce rival Bristol Rovers fan-turned-team-chaplain.

Mark Saunders - who has lung disease - accepted an invitation by his one-time hooligan rival Dave Jeal to watch his first game from the home end at the Memorial Stadium.

The pair, who used to come face to face in fights, have formed a strong friendship which goes beyond the pitch.

Julia Causton reports.
