Bristol man charged with rape of teenager

A man has been charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl in connection with a child sexual exploitation inquiry in Bristol.

Abdirashid Abdullahi, 21, of Bristol, is the 17th person to be charged as part of Operation Brooke.

Mr Abdullahi was remanded in custody until a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 2 May.

Police are examining claims of sexual exploitation in the city involving girls aged between 13 and 17.
