More than 70 people have been arrested as part of a drinking and driving campaign in Avon and Somerset, police have said.
In the past three weeks, officers said, 71 people have been apprehended on the suspicion of drinking and driving.
They said many were the result of information "received from the public".
Ch Insp Yan Georgiou said: "Local people are important in helping us to crack down on anyone getting behind the wheel after drinking or taking drugs."
He added: "Throughout Operation Tonic we are responding to information the community has given us.
"As we head towards Christmas and beyond we will be continuing our activities and this will include stop checks early in the mornings.
"Motorists need to ensure they are not drinking and driving home but also that they are not over the limit the following morning."
