Cyclist dies after collision with oil tanker in Failand

A cyclist has died after being in a collision with an oil tanker in Failand near Bristol, police have said.

The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital after suffering serious injuries in the crash at about 10:00 GMT on Tuesday.

A police spokesperson said he died on Wednesday morning.

Horse Race Lane, where the collision happened, was closed for about four hours while police investigated the scene.
