Murder charge after man stabbed in Bishopston, Bristol

A man has been charged with the murder of a 24-year-old man from Bristol.

The victim, who has been named as Robert Cox, was stabbed an address in Egerton Road, Bishopston, on Friday evening.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokeswoman said he was taken to hospital but died later.

Derick Hancock, who is 41 years old and lives locally, is being held in police custody and due to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone with information about the attack to contact police or Crimestoppers.
